NZUAG projects and activities are funded by the group's representatives.
NZUAG is currently receiving its second set of contributions from members. These include metropolitan and provincial councils (whose contributions are based on population size), New Zealand Transport Agency, Electricity Networks Association, Gas Association of New Zealand, Local Government New Zealand, NZ Contractors' Federation, Telecom NZ, TelstraClear and Watercare. These contributions are funding the activities associated with preparing the Code for a round of public consultation as required by the Utilities Access Act 2010, and the subsequent review of submissions and finalisation of the code for the Minister of Infrastructure's approval.
The willingness of each member organisation to fund these activities shows their commitment to the principles of NZUAG and achieving its goals. This commitment has been vital to achieving such successful outcomes over the last nine years.
