Guidance on managing conflicts of interest

NZUAG Inc reminds local authorities who manage both road and utility assets that they have a conflict of interest as defined in the Utilities Access Act 2010, and need to disclose this.
Establishment of Incorporated Society

Now registered as an Incorporated Society, NZUAG Inc is currently establishing the Interim Committee. Its first activities include setting fees for membership, the forward work programme and reviewing the recently completed broadband fibre deployment standards for inclusion in the Code.
Correction to the Code

Clause 2.6.1 (b) has been amended to clarify when conflicts of

National Code now with Minister for Infrastructure for approval

NZUAG is pleased to advise that it has given the Code to the Minister for Infrastructure for his approval under Section 12 of the Utilities Access Act 2010. This is the culmination of five and a half years work. In that time five versions of the Code were released for consultation, and NZUAG conducted two series of nationwide seminars on the Code's content and implementation issues. A comprehensive round of public consultation was undertaken this year, and over 6o submissions received in total.
