Seminars rescheduled for February 2008

NZUAG has rescheduled the seminars on the new National Code on Utilities' access to the road and rail corridors from November 2007 to February 2008.

It is with regret that NZUAG advises the postponement of the seminars scheduled for November 2007 until February 2008. The Government has not yet made its final decisions on the new context for utilities' access to the road corridor and it seemed prudent to delay the seminars so that the new Code can be discussed in the new context. Our expectation is that Government decisions will be made in November and the Directors' Group managing the project will then have the draft Code ready before the holiday break. The roadshows in February will form part of the wider consultation on the draft Code and the final document should be available for training and implementation in April 2008. All people who have already registered will be offered the opportunity to transfer their registration to the new date or to withdraw, in which case, any payment made will be refunded in full. The delay gives intending delegates the opportunity to fix the date in their diaries now before heading away for holidays. Those planning to have accommodation in Rotorua are advised to book it urgently as February is a peak period and available accommodation is already limited. Attached is the seminar brochure and registriaton form for the new dates in February 2008. NZUAG apologises for any inconvenience this may cause, but believes that the deferral is in the best interest of all of us in the sector. The issue is too important not to have all the facts before us. Any queries, please email info@nzuag.org.nz Click here to view details of revised dates.
