During the last few years NZUAG has worked on a number of projects to address issues arising from utilities working in the road.
The result is RoadShare. RoadShare is the embodiment of the NZUAG values of Responsiveness, Integrity, Partnership, Efficiency and Effectiveness.
The work programme undertaken by NZUAG has produced outcomes that will more effectively manage New Zealand's roading corridor. It consists of a number of projects that have produced best practice guidelines and tools for all aspects of road corridor management.
The guidelines are underpinned by a Partnering Agreement that sets out the rights and responsibilities of utilities working in the road. Our vision is for territorial local authorities, Transit New Zealand and utility service providers throughout New Zealand to adopt national codes of practice and tools in a spirit of co-operation and collaboration to achieve an efficient and well managed road corridor.
